POLICE are investigating the theft of a car, that occurred on 31 August near to the Grange area of Egremont.
The vehicle stolen was a silver Fiat Punto.
The Punto was later involved in a road traffic collision near to Grange, at around 11:50pm on 31 August.
The vehicle may have travelled on the A66 and the A595 between Keswick and Whitehaven between 6:20pm and 10:20pm on 31 August.
Police are appealing for any witnesses that may have seen the vehicle or have dash cam footage that show the vehicle between Keswick and Egremont.
