Police are investigating a two-vehicle road traffic collision and an assault that occurred at around 9:30am on 28th October, at the junction of Eastern Way and Warwick Road, Carlisle.
Involved in the collision was a blue Ford Fiesta and a red Dacia Sendero.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The driver of the Fiesta, a 34-year-old man from Carlisle, was arrested for a drink driving offence, he was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article. He has been released under investigation.
“The driver of the Dacia, a 67-year-old male from Carlisle was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary with minor injuries.”
