Former frontman of Carlisle based indie rock band Sugarspun has now chosen to venture into the music industry as a solo artist.
During the first lockdown of the year Jamie McGraw decided to pick up his guitar and start to write new solo material off the back of his band deciding to part ways.
Jamie’s first single ‘Soul Is Music’ will be released on all social media/streaming platforms on the 15th of November. The song was inspired by Jamie not wanting to give up on making music after the band split and the lyrics also reflect the current climate the music industry finds itself in due to the effects of COVID-19.
Influences of McGraw include Richard Ashcroft, Liam Gallagher, John Lennon, Gerry Cinnamon, Paolo Nutini.
