Gareth Livingstone, formerly of Ast Signs, and Anthony Townson

A former boss of a major Penrith signage firm has been appointed as managing director of a Hampshire company.

Gareth Livingstone joined Ast Signs in 2005 and was operations director and director of rail.

He has over 23 years’ experience in the industry and has taken on the new role at Stewart Signs in Southampton.

He replaces Anthony Townson, who has spent more 37 years in the business since taking over from his father, Roy in 1983.

Since joining the company in February, Gareth has been commuting from his home in Carlisle to Southampton to work alongside Anthony to allow a smooth transition of the business.
