Cumbria has seen 65 per cent of its expected rainfall for the month in just 24 hours.

A statement from the Environment Agency said: “In the last 24 hoursĀ Cumbria has seen 65 per cent of its rainfall for the month. Our teams continue to be out in Cumbria clearing grids to reduce flood risk.”
Meanwhile, a yellow Met Office weather warning is in force in Cumbria until 8pm today.
