Cumbria’s director of public health Colin Cox is teaming up with Cumbria Crack to host his next COVID-19 Facebook Live event.
The event is an opportunity for people to hear the latest update on the COVID-19 response in Cumbria and ask questions.
People can watch and participate by visiting www.facebook.com/cumbriacrack on Tuesday March 2 at 7pm.
Around 400 people have joined previous live events, asking a huge range of questions.
Mr Cox said: “We’ve teamed up with Cumbria Crack for this latest Facebook Live, they’ve got a big online following and I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of questions we get.
“With the Prime Minister’s announcement of the roadmap we’re now moving into another new phase of the pandemic response so I’m sure there will be lots that people want to know about.
“I don’t always have all the answers, but if there are things I don’t know we always try to get back to people over email. It’s quite tricky trying to respond to all the questions that come in, but I really value the opportunity to talk to people directly about what is going on.”
Nicole Regan, head of digital content at Barrnon Media, owners of Cumbria Crack, said: “We are delighted to be working with Colin to host this Facebook Live event.
“As one of Cumbria’s biggest news websites, it is important to us that we give our followers and readers the opportunity to ask the questions about COVID-19 and the issues that are important to them.
“It is a first for us and we are looking forward to the event immensely.”
People do not need a Facebook account to watch the event, but do need one if they wish to ask a question.
If you can’t make the live event, please email your question to [email protected] and put COVID Q&A in the subject line.
