A man has appeared in court charged with eight burglary offences.
Dean Michael Kerr, 32, appeared from police custody at Carlisle’s magistrates’ court today charged with seven counts of attempted burglary with intent to steal and one of burgling a dwelling with theft.
The burglary incident is alleged to have taken place yesterday at an address on Pennington Drive.
The alleged five attempted burglaries are said to have taken place at various addresses on Pennington Drive, with two attempted burglary allegations relating to Lowry Gardens in Carlisle.
No plea was required during the hearing.
Kerr, of Orchard Street in Carlisle, will be dealt with by Carlisle Crown Court on April 19.
He was remanded in custody.
