A man has died following a crash in Carlisle city centre.
Police were called at about 10.15am today to the report of a two-vehicle crash on Botchergate, near to the ibis Hotel.
An ambulance, an air ambulance and two rapid response vehicles were called, but sadly the driver of one of the vehicles, a man in his 80s from Carlisle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road has since been reopened.
