Three fire engines were called to rescue a casualty who became stuck underneath a horse in a ditch.
Crews attended at 11.45am on Saturday to a ditch just off Main Street in Little Broughton.
Firefighters released the horse using animal rescue strops, a lifting harness and a telehandler. The casualty was treated by ambulance paramedics.
Crews were in attendance for one hour and 20 minutes.
