Five leading businesswomen from across Cumbria will talk about the challenges they have faced during the COVID-19 pandemic at an event next month.
Organised by Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, it is the first in a series of Women in Business events planned over the next year, following on from the success of its panel discussion held to mark International Women’s Day earlier this year.
Talking Success Stories, sponsored by Baines Wilson, will be held on May 27.
Suzanne Caldwell, managing director of Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, said: “We’re delighted that Baines Wilson will again be sponsoring the Women in Business events and we’re really looking forward to working with them on this.
“And indeed to the first sponsored event which promises to be both inspirational and informative.”
Joanne Holborn, partner and head of employment law and training at Baines Wilson, said: “Baines Wilson LLP are pleased to continue our sponsorship and support of the Women in Business events with the chamber and are excited for the events coming up throughout the year and in to 2022.
“It will be great to hear from local businesses, large and small, about their success stories and the positives we can take from the last 12 to 18 months and to network with the brilliant businesspeople of Cumbria.”
This session will be held online, however future Women in Business sessions may be held in person dependent on COVID-19 rules.
The event will be free to chamber members, or £10 plus VAT for non-members.
