
The A596 between Micklethwaite and the B5302 junction will be closed tonight as police carry out a crash investigation.
The road will be closed this evening from 9.30pm allow forensic reconstruction enquiries to take place as part of an ongoing investigation into a fatal road traffic collision which occurred in March.
The closure is expected to be in place until midnight and motorists are advised to avoid the area and use the A595 while the closure is in place.
A man died following the collision on March 23, which involved a BMW and a HGV.
Ben Law, 22, of Wigton, died at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle on April 3.
