Art students are to showcase their work in Carlisle as they adapt to the difficult challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic.
A collection of sculptures, ceramics, metalwork, photography, print, paintings, collages and drawings will be on display at 7 Paternoster Road in Carlisle city centre from tomorrow.
The exhibition will run until May 24 and will give the artists a much-needed chance to showcase their work after COVID-19 restrictions have made exhibiting impossible in recent months.
“The students/artists are very excited that this exhibition can go ahead, and we look forward to meeting as many people as is possible,” said Nicky Pelton, a second-year BA Fine Art student at the University of Cumbria, who will be taking part in the exhibition.
The exhibition will run during the following times:
- Monday – Wednesday – 10am until 4pm
- Thursday – Friday – 10am until 3pm and 5pm until 9pm
- Saturday – Sunday – 10am until 4pm
