A luxury dog hotel is now open in West Cumbria.
Woofs and Wags, in Arlecdon, is the brainchild of Yvonne Clark.
The building has been fully refurbished and has been built with the priority of keeping its guests warm, snug and safe.
Each of the hotel rooms are themed, named after cartoon dogs, with dog owners being able to choose their preferred room.
Yvonne’s aim is to give each dog owner the peace of mind and reassurance they would expect while also providing their pet with a fun experience.
Yvonne said: “I have been looking forward to the opening of our dog hotel for a very long time, this is something I have had planned for years.
“COVID has been a big factor in the delay of our opening, which has only made us more excited and eager to open.
“Both me and my family are looking forward to welcoming our guests as we embark on the journey of creating magical experiences for the dogs of West Cumbria.
“We have had animals for years ourselves and so we understand just how precious they are to everyone and so we wanted to create a totally new and upmarket style accommodation, so the humans aren’t the only ones who get to enjoy their holidays!
“Our hotel is now open for business after a long 20 months of planning, building and rigorous health and safety checks.”
It’s very much a family affair with Yvonne hiring her 16-year-old son, Oliver, who is doing an apprenticeship in kennel management with Kendal College.
