A Barrow thief has been jailed for 84 days after targetting Carlisle shops five times in nine days.
Aidan Luke Patterson first stole laundry and cleaning items valued at £28.43 from a Spar store in Carlisle on May 22.
The following day he stole food and drink with an unknown value, also from a Carlisle Spar shop.
Two days later he again raided a Carlisle Spar store to take cleaning items worth £22.34.
On May 26 the 28-year-old entered the One Stop store on Newtown Road in Carlisle and took food and cleaning items valued at £17.60.
An earlier court order prohibited Patterson, of Tay Court in Barrow, from entering the store. He admitted breaching his criminal behaviour order.
His last offence took place on May 30 – again at Spar in Carlisle – taking laundry, cleaning items and coffee and food worth £29.98.
Patterson admitted all of the offences at Carlisle’s magistrates’ court on June 1. He was jailed for 84 days, was ordered to pay a total of £126.78 in compensation and £128 to fund victim services.
