A man has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after a crash, drink driving and dangerous driving.
Police were called at 7.51am yesterday to a crash involving an Audi A4 and a Porsche on the A66, near Kirkby Thore.
The driver of the Audi, a man in his 50s from Middlesbrough, was arrested on suspicion of a positive breath test, dangerous driving and failing to stop after the crash.
He has been released under investigation for all offences.
The road was blocked while emergency services and recovery were on scene but has since reopened. No injuries were reported.
