A Barrow man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after a man suffered serious injuries after an incident in Barrow.
Police are investigating an alleged assault at 1am on Sunday, on Longway near the junction with Thrums Street.
The incident involved two men.
A local man in his 30s suffered serious injuries and was taken to Furness General Hospital. He has since been discharged.
An 18-year-old man from Barrow was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning in grievous bodily harm. He has been released on police bail.
