Police have confirmed that they have investigated several reports regarding the behaviour of individuals and licensing issues at Whitehaven Rugby League Football Club.
The club released a statement on June 4 saying that the club was dealing with an ‘ongoing situation’ as chairman Tom Todd resigned.
The statement called for time from supporters and the media to rectify the situation.
Less than a week later four directors had joined Mr Todd and resigned with immediate effect.
Steve Nicholson, Peter Boyle, Andrew Airlie, and Paul Shepherd all stepped down.
