Workington Town roared back to winning form with a fine 40-14 home win over Hunslet.
A fighting recovery two weeks ago had almost produced a memorable win over high-flying Oldham but they backed that up with a poor display in defeat at Salford.
This, though, was more like it again as Town’s long-suffering fans were able to enjoy themselves in the glorious sunshine watching their favourites turn on the style.
Yet once again it was the opposition who scored first as Agoro went over on 15 minutes and Billy Jowitt added the conversion.
Town’s response was immediate as Evan Lawther scored from the restart taking four Hunslet defenders over with him. Jake Carter missed the conversion so the visitors still led.
Town continued to force the pace, and on 28 minutes they went in front with a second unconverted try, this time from Braden Leigh.
They extended their lead when Zarrin Galea and Bear Williams linked to cut open the Hunslet defence for Carter to score. The stand-off landed his first conversion to make it 14-6.
On the stroke of half time Lucas Castle raced 30 meters to feed Galea who still had a similar distance to cover but he got there and Carter converted for a handy 14-point advantage at the break.

The second half started much as the first ended with Town hammering away at the increasingly suspect Hunslet defence.
The hosts registered their next score when Tee Rhawhiti scored a fine individual try from dummy half and again Carter added the extras.
Things went from bad to worse for Hunslet when Eddie Battye was sent to the sin bin for ten minutes for a professional foul.
Town made the extra man count instantly as Mason Lewthwaite went through a gaping hole unopposed with Carter converting.

Town continued to exploit Hunslet’s advantage when Carter raced away to score after a strong break from Lewthwaite which had followed a Lawther offload.
Town scored on 64 minutes when Rio Corkill got through another crumbling Hunslet defensive effort and Carter’s fifth conversion was their last points of the game.
Hunslet registered a second score in the 69th minute when Myles Harrop raced 40 metres to touchdown.

The visitors gained more consolation when Jimmy Watson scored right on the final hooter.
Town are now out of action for the next two weeks, before they travel to Sheffield Eagles to the Home of Football Stadium on July 19.
Attendance 842. Man of the match: Jake Carter.
