Three people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Carlisle.
A 32-year-old man, from Carlisle, has been arrested on suspicion of assault GBH with intent.
Two women from the Carlisle area, aged 27 and 23 respectively, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
All three remain in custody detained for questioning.
Police were contacted shortly before 2.10am yesterday with a report that a man had been stabbed near the KFC restaurant on London Road.
A 28-year-old man, from Carlisle, received hospital treatment at the Cumberland Infirmary and was discharged the same day.
Anyone with information or anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact police.
