A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital following a fight which began outside a Maryport pub.
Police were called at around 8.55pm last night after reports of the fight outside the Lifeboat Inn.
A police spokesman said: “Police received a report from a member of the public that the incident started outside the Lifeboat Inn pub, however as the incident progressed, it spread further up the street towards the town centre.”
An ambulance was also called and the 19-year-old was taken to the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven.
No other injuries were reported, police said.
Cumbria police said it would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
