A woman has been warned she could receive a prison sentence for a string of violent assaults which left her husband with fractures and a dislodged tooth.
Donna Michelle Moore, 50, and also known as Donna Michelle White, admitted four crimes when she appeared at Carlisle Crown Court on Tuesday.
White admitted three charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
These offences occurred on three separate dates between November 1, 2019, and May 1, 2020, and were committed on her husband at the time.
The court heard White’s assaults left the man with a fractured nose, a fractured finger and dislodging of a tooth.
White also admitted a fourth charge of assault by beating of an emergency worker — a police constable — on May 1, 2020, in Kendal.
This, her barrister told the court, involved “spraying the officer with an unknown substance”.
During the short hearing, White denied charges which alleged a further actual bodily harm assault and controlling or coercive behaviour.
Prosecutor Tim Evans said it was deemed in the public interest to accept the four guilty pleas, but not to take the two other charges to trial in a case which, he said, involved a “vulnerable victim”.
Recorder David Temkin QC adjourned the case and granted bail to White, previously of Waterside, Kendal, and now of Fell View, Wigton.
She is due to be sentenced at the crown court on August 5.
“You have pleaded guilty to serious charges,” the judge told her, “and I have ordered a pre-sentence report that will deal with all options.
“And I make clear to you there are no promises as to the way this case will be finalised. All options means including custody.
“You have to be aware that is one of the options for the court although the probation service will consider other options, including community requirements.”
