Firefighters spend 14 hours tackling South Lakes barn blaze

Fire crews have spent 14 hours tackling a barn blaze in the South Lakes.

A statement from Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 5.53am, firefighters were called to a report of a barn fire in Longsleddale, Kendal.

“Crews used two main jets, two hose reel jets, one breathing apparatus and farm machinery to fight the fire. Crews remain on scene.”
