A new date for the Festival of Colours in Barrow has been announced.
The event was due to take place on June 26, but was postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus restrictions.
But organisers Barra Culture said it will now be held on April 1 and April 2 2022.
Festival of Colours will be an explosion of South Asian music, food and dance in Barrow’s town centre.
Organisers said the new date was chosen in consultation with its partners and local people from the South Asian community, and aligns with the welcoming of spring and Holi 2022.
Daniel Tyler-McTighe, director of Barra Culture, said: “It’s going to be a huge, colourful spectacle, which will definitely be worth the wait!”
