Upfront Puppet Theatre, near Hutton in the Forest, is staging one of its favourite shows throughout the summer.
First created for its smaller theatre, Jack and the Beanstalk will take place in its new larger building, which gives the venue more room to have a socially distanced and well-ventilated space.
The production is uses a cast of marionette puppets, a special soundtrack and is staged on moving wagons which bring each new scene into view.
You see Jack climb into the clouds, walk in Cloudland and steal gold, a chicken that lays golden eggs and a magic harp.

We see the beanstalk crash to the ground when Jack chops it down to put an end to the giant Daisy the cow can come home again and everyone lives happily ever after!
John Parkinson, the artistic director of the company, said: “We are pleased that we are able to open again after a long time in darkness.
“Outdoor shows have been staged and have been very successful, but the magic of a theatre space is something very special.
“The company is performing the show with the puppeteers from the Noisy Oyster puppet company and hope to work together with them in the future.
“We have a very flexible theatre space and this has given us the ability to open with our audience socially distanced and seated on groups of chairs in bubbles, paid for with a grant from The Theatres Trust.”

Suitable for audiences from four to 94, it is a show not to be missed, Upfront Gallery said.
The show lasts for an hour with a short interval for ice creams. There is also a café on site for people to combine a show with a meal, or tea and cakes.
Jack and the Beanstalk opens on July 21 and runs until August 30, at 2pm. Tickets are adults £10; children £8.50. Family – two adults and two children tickets are £32.
