Garden collections for properties in parts of Allerdale will be cancelled today due to staff sickness and self-isolation.

Garden collections for properties in parts of Allerdale will be cancelled today due to staff sickness and self-isolation.

The issue will affect a number of properties in Cockermouth, Papcastle, Winscales, Lillyhall, Eaglesfield, Deanscales, Dean, Branthwaite, Ullock, Bothel, Mealsgate, Moota and Blindcrake.

The advice for households affected is to take bins back in and place them out for collection on the next scheduled garden waste collection day.

Alternatively, the household waste recycling centres run by Cumbria County Council accept garden waste.

More information about their opening times and arrangements can be found at ow.ly/TZic50FwqX2. The council and our collection partners Allerdale Waste Services would like to apologise for any inconvenience.
