A patient has been airlifted to hospital after a collision involving a motorcyclist and a pedestrian in West Cumbria.
Emergency services were called shortly before 2pm today to the A594 between The Ship Pub and the Dearham turnoff.
A spokeswoman for the Great North Air Ambulance Service said: “Our critical care team were activated at 2.05pm to Dovenby after reports of a collision between a pedestrian and motorcyclist.
“They arrived on scene at 2.20pm and our doctor and paramedic team assessed and treated a patient before airlifting them to hospital in 12 minutes.”
The spokeswoman confirmed that it was the pedestrian who was airlifted to hospital.
