Prism Arts returns to Tullie this month with an exhibition takeover showcasing new work by artists from its progressive studio.
Building on the success of PRISM 2025, this year’s exhibition presents an entirely new body of work developed within the Carlisle-based studio over the last year.
Painting, drawing, digital work, moving image and mixed media, PRISM 2026 highlights the vivid individual styles and evolving creative practices of Prism Arts artists.
Taking over key public spaces throughout the museum, PRISM 2026 transforms how visitors move through and experience the building, the organisation said.
The exhibition showcases colour and joy, explores identity and lived experience, and challenges cultural perceptions of difference.
As an Arts Council England-funded progressive artist studio with a national presence, Prism Arts continues to create space for bold, visible, and diverse artistic voices within major cultural venues.
Martin Swan, co-creative director at Prism Arts, said: “Our annual summer showcase celebrates the creativity, individuality and ambition of our visual artists.
“The exhibition reflects a year of developing practice within our studio and offers audiences the opportunity to experience bold contemporary new work from the artists we support throughout the region.”
Anna Smalley, head of collections & engagement at Tullie, added: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to host this exhibition from Prism’s amazing creatives and showcase their talent!
“Last year’s exhibition was inspiring, joyful and one of the highlights of our year so we’re thrilled to be able to do this again with one of our most cherished partners.”
