Desperate to catch up on a backlog of fixtures caused by COVID-19, the Holmen Iggesund Cumberland ARL have had another setback.
Only four referees are available on Wednesday so a six-match planned programme has had to be reduced to four.
League secretary Lorraine Degraffe has had to do some rejigging as she tries to keep the fixture list moving.
“After postponing the games Maryport v Hensingham A and Lowca v Seaton A, it was agreed between Maryport and Lowca that they would rearrange their game, so every little bit helps,” she said.
Glasson v Wath Brow A has also been postponed so the four games to go ahead on Wednesday will be as follows:
Premier Division
- Seaton v Ellenborough (6.30pm)
- Kells A v Distington (6.30pm).
First Division
- Egremont A v Cockermouth (7.30pm)
- Maryport v Lowca (6.30pm).
There’s also a scheduled mid-week game in the National Conference Cumbria section with Barrow Island hosting Millom in a south of the county clash on Wednesday.
All four competing West Cumbrian sides are due to clash on Saturday – Kells v Egremont Rangers and Wath Brow v Hensingham.
