Plans have been submitted to build a new hotel in Eden.
Lowther Park Farms has tabled an application to turn agricultural buildings at Whale Farm in Askham into a new hotel.
The site is located in the open countryside alongside other farm buildings. The applicant promises that the new site would not cause noise or disturbance.
Car parking would be available at Lowther Castle. It is being proposed that electric bikes could also be on offer that would allow visitors to travel from Lowther Castle to the hotel by bicycle.
