People are being encouraged to take part in the Keswick to Barrow Walk to raise money for a charity supporting their local NHS.

Places are available on the September 18 event, which has been a popular fundraiser for the Bay Hospitals Charity and a wide range of other good causes.

Walkers and runners get the chance to experience a challenging 39-mile route passing through amazing scenery in the heart of the Lake District. A shorter 21-mile route is also available starting from Coniston.

Bay Hospitals Charity manager Judith Read said: “This amazing challenge offers the chance to enjoy a fantastic and memorable experience while raising vital funds for Bay Hospitals Charity.

“If you have a good level of fitness, want to push yourself and are keen to support the brilliant work of our charity, we would love to see you sign up for one of the places we have available.”

Bay Hospitals Charity funds the latest equipment for University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust to help make patients more comfortable and ensure they get the best possible care and treatment.

To sign up register online at https://keswick2barrow.co.uk/user/register then email your ID number to: [email protected]

Bay Hospitals Charity is also looking for volunteers to provide support cars for the event. If you can help, get in touch on 01524 516064 or email [email protected]
