A racing pigeon who was spotted wandering around Kendal for five days is on its way to be reunited with its owner.
South Lakes Police said the bird was seen outside Happy Feet in the town and was looking a bit lost.
Thanks to a PCSO, the pigeon was caught and boxed up yesterday, Friday July 24.
South Lakes Police said: “Members of the public helped by reading the number on the leg ring and with some fantastic teamwork and help from the staff at Crumb, we are happy to report the bird is now hopefully on its way back to its owner in Whitehaven.”
