Fair Hill

An emergency temporary 40mph speed restriction has been put in place ahead of Appleby Horse Fair.

The restriction will be in force for up to 21 days and started on Monday on the A685 from its junction with Appleby Road (B6259) extending in a northerly direction for about 3.7 miles.

It has been put in place due to the likelihood of danger to the public and to allow safe management of the Appleby Horse Fair and police patrols.
