From entry level through to degrees ranging from art & design to accounting, business to beauty, media to motor sport, teaching to health & social care, Carlisle College is sure to have a course for you.

The best way for you to find out about life at Carlisle College is to attend an open day – so you are in luck, because Carlisle College would like to invite you, as a potential future student and your families to an open day and advice session, on Thursday August 12.

This event is a great opportunity for you to speak to course tutors about everything the college has to offer, and so, those exploring their options for September are invited to attend between 10am and 6pm to find out more.

To help limit the number of guests at any one time and to help continue with social distancing measures to keep all as safe as possible, registration is required at www.carlisle.ac.uk

Carlisle College has over 100 courses available from entry level through to degrees ranging from art & design to accounting, business to beauty, media to motor vehicle, teaching to health and social care.

These include a wide range of diploma courses which are worth up to three A-levels and provide a perfect alternative to school sixth form, allowing you to specialise in your chosen subject area and progress onto university – in fact we have over 200 students applying to university through UCAS each year.

The best way to find out about life at Carlisle College is to attend an open day. Meet the tutors, see the facilities and discuss you options on Thursday August 12 between 10am and 6pm.

Advice and guidance on hand from experts

Advice and guidance will also be available on the extensive range of apprenticeship programmes at Carlisle College which allows students to earn while they learn.

Carlisle College works with over 350 leading local employers, helping over 700 students a year to secure apprenticeships in a variety of subject areas including construction, business and engineering.

The open day will also give you the opportunity to see the multi-million-pound facilities that reflect those found in industry, including the £5.3m Carlisle College of the Arts which houses top of the range media editing suites and rehearsal rooms and the motor vehicle workshop which boats seven ramps with all the latest equipment and MOT Test bay.

Visitors will have the chance to meet the team of highly qualified staff who are experts in their field and who will be on hand to offer top tips on how to realise your career ambitions and find the right course for you.

Andy Dodds, assistant principal at Carlisle College, said: “Students can really make it at Carlisle College, whether that is to go to university, gain an apprenticeship or go into employment.

“All of the courses at Carlisle College prepare students for their next step and we would encourage everyone to join us on the day, by making an appointment through our booking system, to find out what the College has to offer.”

Applications are still open for September 2021 starts, and can be made easily in just a few simple steps via the college website at www.carlisle.ac.uk
