Barrow MP Simon Fell, is packing up his office and heading out to all corners of Furness as he takes to the road on his annual summer surgery tour.
Mr Fell will cover more than 200 miles, covering all areas of Furness across five days.
He will start the tour at Seathwaite Parish Rooms on Monday August 16 at 10am. Mr Fell will then make his way through to Grizebeck, via surgery stops in Broughton and Kirkby.
He will also visit Rampside, Urswick, Roose, Dalton, various places at Walney Island, Barrow Island and Ormsgill, Swarthmoor, both ends of Ulverston, and Baycliff.
The tour ends at Greenodd, a new stop for this year, based on constituent feedback from 2020.
The tour builds on the success of last year’s maiden tour, in which hundreds of local people came out to see their local MP.
Mr Fell said: “I hold surgeries every week, but I can’t wait to get out of the office and meet as many constituents as possible.
“I hope that people who maybe otherwise wouldn’t think of contacting their local MP for help, will be able to take the opportunity to come and have a chat and let us help them out with whatever issue it is they’re facing.
“The most important thing for an MP is to get out and listen to local people to ensure that I represent them, and what matters most to them and their families.
“Last year wasn’t without it’s challenges, not just as a result of the pandemic, but the weather was on form, going from blazing hot sunshine to torrential downpours.
“Regardless, it was lovely to meet so many people last year, which is why I’m very happy to do it again. I’ll continue to hold the tour each year, we live in an amazing place, and it’s great to get round the whole patch.”
