David Gleave picked up from where he left off last week to score a resounding victory in the Velo Club Cumbria’s Keswick 25-mile time trial.

Gleave’s time of 53 minutes 4 seconds, at an average speed of 28.27mph, set in difficult windy conditions, was a comfortable three minutes 36 seconds clear of second placed Brian Payton’s 56:40.

A further 2 seconds behind came Richard Shield in third. Rachel Jeff of Workington was the fastest female in a time of 1:06:01.
