
A man has died after a four-vehicle crash on the A595 at Whitbeck.
Police were called at 2.43pm yesterday to the collision, which involved three Triumph motorcycles and a Mercedes A-Class.
Lee Chorley, 31, of Dalton-in-Furness, received medical attention but was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ambulance, air ambulance and police attended the scene.
A man in his 50s, from Barrow, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by air ambulance. He is in a stable condition.
The driver of the car, a man in his 20s from Millom, and the third motorcyclist, a man in his 30s from Barrow, received no reported injuries.
The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene and vehicle recovery took place.
