Police are probing after a driver suffered serious injuries after crashing into a tree in Millom.
Officers were called at around 3am yesterday to the A5093 at The Green, Millom.
A red Vauxhall Astra crashed into a tree leaving the driver with serious injuries.
The driver, a man in his 30s from Broughton-in-Furness, was initially taken to Furness General Hospital but has since been transferred to Royal Preston Hospital.
Officers are seeking witnesses who saw a black Vauxhall Astra in the area during the night to make contact.
