Dragons’ Den backed ParkingPerx is set to drive footfall and spending in Kendal when the innovative high street-boosting app launches in the town on September 17.
The loyalty app, which is launching in partnership with Kendal BID and supported by South Lakeland District Council, is designed to reunite shoppers with their favourite retailers, cafes and independent merchants to breathe life back into the local economy by rewarding them with free parking in exchange for shopping on their high street.
Shoppers will be able to earn Perx at a range of businesses including Pedro’s Casa, Edward James Furniture, Cable & Blake, Stanley’s Coffeehouse, Ye Olde Fleece, Rainbow Accessories, AC Gallery, Hers & Sirs, The Moon and The Shakespeare Inn, and then use their earned Perx (loyalty points) to get free parking in car parks across the town including Blackhall Road, Booths, Dowker Lane, Highgate Bowman, Library Road, Parish Church, Peppercorn, Sandes Avenue, Snowsports Club and South Lakes House.
