Your pictures: Giant sunflowers across Cumbria

Builder Jonathan Crisp is “sow chuffed” with an eight-foot sunflower standing tall outside his Eden home that he wanted to share his achievement on Cumbria Crack.

Jonathan, of Plumpton, began planting seeds earlier this year, using a greenhouse as he began to repeat a horticultural habit he developed 12 months before.

We asked if anyone could beat an 8ft sunflower…..and it turns out there are hundreds of you who are very green-fingered!
