Thieves in the Lake District stole equipment worth £2,000.
Police are investigating two incidents of theft of outboard motors from boats at Lake Windermere close to the A592 between September 10 and September 11.
It was reported that Honda and Yamaha, four-stroke engines, valued at £2,000, were removed from the boats.
