The volunteer crew of Workington RNLI were called out this afternoon to go to the aid of a yacht with engine failure.
The RNLI crew were called at 1.20pm by Belfast Coastguard and launched all-weather lifeboat Dorothy May White to the vessel, which was two miles north of Whitehaven.
Two people were on board.
The Dorothy May White towed the yacht to its berth in Whitehaven marina.
Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team were also in attendance.
