Bus passengers face journey disruption as routes reduced this week

Stagecoach's 61 service

Buses across Cumbria will be running on a reduced service this week due to a shortage of drivers.

Passengers have been advised by Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire the following services have been affected:

Service 78 will only run hourly. 

Buses at 50 past the hour from Keswick and 20 past the hour from Seatoller will not run. You can still catch the bus at 20 past the hour from Keswick and 50 past the hour from Seatoller. 

Service 77A 

The 1130 journey starting at Keswick will not run, all other journeys will operate as normal.  

Service X4/X5 

The 08:44 from Cockermouth to Workington will not run and all departures from Keswick to Workington at 45 past the hour will not run, the exception being the 2015 and 2215 which will remain. 

From Workington to Keswick buses at 45 past the hour from 0945 onwards will not run.

Between 0900 and 1800 Keswick to Penrith services which usually travel along the main A66 between Cockermouth and Workington will call additionally at Bridgefoot and Brigham to maintain a service while the Workington to Keswick journeys are not operating. 

Service 67 at Carlisle 

The following journeys from Upperby Oaklands Drive terminus will not run:   

  • 0710
  • 0821
  • 0941
  • 1101
  • 1221
  • 1341
  • 1501
  • 1621
  • 1741
  • 1850 

In addition, the following 67 journeys from Belle Vue Criffel Road will not run:

  • 0741
  • 0858
  • 1018
  • 1138
  • 1255
  • 1418
  • 1538
  • 1658
  • 1817  

Service 61/61A, the following trips will not run: 

  • 61 0629 West Tower Street to Harraby
  • 61 0645 Harraby to Morton Royal Scot
  • 61 0711 Morton Royal Scot to Harraby
  • 61 0740 Harraby to Morton Royal Scot
  • 61 0811 Morton Royal Scott to Harraby
  • 61A 0848 Harraby to Morton West
  • 61 0923 Harraby to West Tower Street (The journey will start at 0936 at West Tower Street and will run to Harraby arriving 0953) 

Service 62/62A the following trips will not run: 

  • 62 0907 From Kingstown to Morton Park will only run as far as West Tower Street at 0930
  • 62 0948 Morton Park To Lowry Hill
  • 62 1028 Lowry Hill to Morton Park
  • 62 1103 Morton Park to Kingmoor
  • 62 1155 Kingmoor to Morton Park
  • 62 1248 Morton Park to Lowry Hill
  • 62 1328 Lowry Hill to Morton Park
  • 62 1403 Morton Park to Kingmoor
  • 62 1455 Kingmoor to Morton Park
  • 62 1548 Kingmoor to Lowry Hill
  • 62 1628 Lowry Hill to Morton Park
  • 62 1703 Morton Park to Kingmoor
