The family of a man who died in a crash on the A689 have said that their “hearts have been shattered” by his death.
Emergency services were called to the crash, near Brampton, at around 6.13pm on Friday.
Joshua Robertson, 22, of Carlisle, was a passenger in a white Ford Transit when it was involved in a crash with a blue BMW 1 series.
Officers are continuing their appeal for witnesses who haven’t already spoken to police and were in the area who saw either a white Ford Transit or a blue BMW 1 series to contact PC 2052 Whatman from the serious collision investigation unit.
In tribute, his family said: “On Friday, October 8 we tragically lost Josh. Our hearts have been shattered and we will miss him dearly, with the only comfort that he is back with his mother who we sadly lost last May. Rest heavenly our precious boy.
“Josh was the most generous, kind person you could ever meet, and he would do anything for anyone. He adored his little sister Olivia-Rose and Olivia-Rose adored her big brother Joshy. She will miss him greatly.
“As a family, we ask people respect our privacy while we try to come to terms with the loss of a beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew and friend to many.”
