A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident in Carlisle.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have seen the incident at about 8.45pm on Friday in the area of Lancaster Street.
It involved a man and a woman.
A 31-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of assault. He was released on bail.
