A West Cumbrian bridge closed after last week’s heavy rain and flooding has reopened.
Egremont Bridge remained closed until an underwater inspection could take place.
Cumbria County Council announced earlier today that the inspection has concluded and the bridge has reopened.
It added: “Thank you for your patience whilst we carried out this essential safety inspection and sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
