French international centre Hakim Miloudi has re-signed for Barrow ahead of their return to the Championship.
The 28-year-old Miloudi, who previously played for Toronto Wolfpack and Hull FC, first joined
Capped five times for his country, and who also featured for them in the World Cup 9s, says he is looking forward to continuing his adventure with Barrow at the higher level.
He said: “I’m really proud to continue this adventure with the boys and the staff after all the work we’ve done together last year, especially winning the trophy in League 1.
“The decision to stay with Barrow was easy for me because all the players, the staff, the fans and all at the club make me feel comfortable and welcome, so it’s my second family now.
“We have a new challenge for this season and I can’t wait to be back at training to work hard on it. I hope we will have amazing feelings at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium with all the fans again.
“The best I can wish for is the top six to feature in the plays-offs and see what happens from there.
“My objective at the end of the season is to play in the World Cup for the French team, and to make that possible I need to play my best rugby all season with Barrow.”
Head coach Paul Crarey believes Miloudi has added the X factor to the Barrow attack.
He said: “His partnership with Tee (Ritson) is already a massive hit with the fans and they are a threat to the opposition from anywhere on the pitch.
“Hakim is excited by the way we play and the atmosphere the club creates on a match day.
“He made it clear he wanted to stay and the club have done the business by re-signing him.”
