Allerdale Borough Council is reminding gardeners that their garden waste collections will soon come to an end for 2021.
The council provides a fortnightly collection to households throughout Allerdale. The last collections before the bins go into hibernation for the winter will be during the week beginning December 6, or the week beginning December 13, depending on the collection round.
Residents can check their last collection date on the council’s website at: https://www.allerdale.gov.uk/en/bincollections/
Garden waste collections return in March 2022. In the meantime, if anyone does have garden waste collections, they can take it to the Household Waste Recycling Centres at Maryport, Wigton, and Workington.
