Six roads still closed following Storm Arwen

Six roads remain closed in Cumbria following Storm Arwen.

Here is a list of the roads that remain shut across the county this morning:

  • Ambleside – Road blocked due to fallen tree on Under Loughrigg both ways between Rydal Lodge and Rothay Manor Hotel. A local business has confirmed the road is blocked near Rothay Park.
  • Bowness-on-Windermere – Road closed due to fallen tree on Lickbarrow Road between Park Road and Bowness turn off.
  • Duddon Bridge – Road closed due to fallen tree on Corney Fell from Church Brow to Millom turn off. Between Duddon Bridge and Ravenglass.
  • High Newton – Road closed due to fallen tree on Height Road around Tow Top Road.
  • Sedbergh – Road closed due to fallen tree on B6257 between Old Scotch Road and A684.
  • Sedbergh – Road closed due to fallen tree on Brackensgill Lane at Sedbergh.
