Make indecent photograph of a child – He is accused of viewing, accessing or downloading 11 category B images of a child. This charge relates to the same period as above and is again alleged to have taken place in Whitehaven.

Make indecent photograph of a child – It is alleged he viewed, accessed or downloaded 16 category C images of a child. This again relates to the same time period as the first two charges and is said to have taken place in Whitehaven.

Possess a prohibited image of a child – On April 24 2020, in Whitehaven, he is alleged to have been in possession of a prohibited image of a child.

Possess extreme pornographic images portraying an act of intercourse/oral sex with a dead/alive animal – On the same date of the previous charge, he is accused of possessing two extreme pornographic images which portrayed a human involved in a sex act with a snake and chicken.

He indicated a guilty plea for all five charges.

Palmer was granted unconditional bail ahead of a hearing at Carlisle Crown Court on January 7.
