A hooded man assaulted a woman dog walker leaving her with facial injuries.
Officers are investigating the attack at 7.30pm on Saturday on the footpath between Millrigg Road and Honister Drive in Workington.
The incident involved a man and a woman. The woman suffered facial injuries. The man is described as aged between 30 to 40 and was wearing a dark hoody and jeans. The woman was walking a dog at the time.
The man left the area in the direction of Honister Drive.
